How is it possible to love something or someone entirely, with all of your heart? That question has always been lingering in my mind every time I looked at Arlo.
Arlo is a black Labrador Retriever that I got as a valentine’s gift from Nick. He was 2 months old when I started taking care of him. Arlo is quite jolly and temperamental, not normal for a labrador who is known to be loving and friendly. But anyhow, I love this pooch very much.
Dogs are truly loyal and faithful. They will never betray their human. I grew up with dogs in the family and maybe, that is why I am so in love with them. I even call them cute, no matter what the size is. haha. Arlo has been my crying shoulder and most of all, my happy pill. I can’t imagine how dogs do that but they have the ability to make you smile whenever you feel down. It feels like they sensed it once their human is not happy at all. I guess that is why they are called man’s best friend. It is because of their big heart, their ability to love us unconditionally.
Arlo loves to play, especially in the rain. He is a good starter for the day. He puts me in a positive mood with those big floppy ears and tongue hanging while greeting me good morning with a smile. 🙂
How do we tell if our pooch loves us back?
- Dogs jump off with delight every time they see their human. It is because they love you.
- They lick our face no matter what.
- They cheer us up. As I’ve said, I don’t know how they did that but dogs can definitely cheer its human up.
- Snuggles with you if they see you lying down on the bed.
- They are sad everytime you need to go somewhere. Yes, look at those eyes.
There are a lot of ways that a dog can show their love for their human. It is important to reciprocate. Our dogs will love us no matter how busy we are. Even if their human often forgot to play with them. We need to show them that we love them. Dogs cannot understand our every word but they have their very own way of understanding.
So, no matter how hectic your schedule is with work, find time to play and cuddle with your pooch. They need time. Believe me, they will take away all the stress that you gained from work. That is why everytime I wake up, I always cuddle with Arlo in the morning.
