‘Mangadto ta sa Forest Camp’, this is the line that slips through my tongue every time I go home to my Lola’s hometown. The Forest Camp is a mountain spring resort located in the modest and quiet town of Valencia, Negros Oriental, less than an hour drive from Dumaguete City. Valencia is dubbed as the “Little Baguio” in the Visayas because of its cold climate.
Forest Camp is one of the most famous resorts in town. The spring resort is a perfect place for weekend family picnics and reunion with friends or even if you just wanted to take a break from work. They have quite a number of pools filled with the cold running water from Mt. Talinis. You can enjoy unlimited swimming and picture taking, which I know will be a lot, of course, for Php 90.00 entrance fee per head. There is no corkage fee so can bring food, but if you want, you can just order from the restaurant in the resort.
